Every day is a festival for the vivacious Ranbarumbans. They live by the dance and literally die by the dance.
Meteos Wars Planet Description

Ranbarumba is a planet only found in Meteos Wars.

Planetary Data

Ranbarumba is an oddly shaped planet, being shaped a bit like that of the stellar plate shape of snowflakes, with flat, hexagonal peaks as shown. It is slightly reflective gold (with traces of pink and white), with faces on each of the peaks. It seems to glow slightly, as a result of its reflective properties.

Inhabitants

The Ranbarumbians are an energetic race of orange and neon green aliens, who seem to either wear or naturally grow sets of feathers behind their heads, also neon green. Their single pupil is in the shape of an upside-down teardrop, though it can split into four and spin about under certain circumstances. They are in a perpetual state of celebration for unknown reasons, with song and dance both being big parts of said celebrations.

Meteos Wars Data

Ranbarumba made its first and currently only appearance in Meteos Wars, as part of Galaxy Pack DLC.

Ranbarumba plays as oddly as it looks. It features enormous amounts of Glow and Zoo Meteos, followed by trace, equal amounts of Air, Fire, H20, Herb and Zap Meteos. Ranbarumba does not play like any other planet, having launch power based very strictly on stack size, and where the ignition took place. For starters, any ignition made on the ground on Ranbarumba has a tremendous amount of force behind it, while ignitions anywhere else will be lucky to even get up a single tile. Further ignitions will have their power determined by the width of the stack, where a one-column wide stack will have pathetically weak launches, stacks spanning the whole 9 columns will have plenty of power behind them. Combining the planet's odd Meteos frequencies with its strange physics makes for a difficult planet to get used to. It is well suited for more skilled players, though intermediate users will find this planet fun to use as well, due to its odd, though handy, physics, and the presence of two strong types of Meteos, followed by trace amounts of others, which can be combined for powerful attacks, especially when combined with its Planet Impact, Sentinel.

Trivia

  • Ranbarumba is the last planet on the Planet Select screen in Meteos Wars, if all Downloadable Content items are purchased. If none are purchased, however, then Globin will be the last planet.
  • Some of the horns in Ranbarumba's sound set originate from the Lumines skin, Brash, though they have been greatly sped up. The same applies to Layazero.
