The Rare Meteos (sometimes called Rare Metals) are a variety of Meteo that contain further special properties than most of the known kinds. They appear much more rarely than any other type, and upon their appearance during gameplay, will fall upon a column of Meteos. They completely destroy any Meteo in its path to the bottom of the screen, effectively clearing a column. They, like any other Meteo type, are obtainable to be used in fusion later by launching it away in a stack. Two kinds are introduced in the original Meteos: Time and Soul. Chi is a special sub-variant introduced in Meteos Online.

SoulEdit

Soul The Rare Meteo of Soul is a special Meteo representing the spirit of life itself. It flashes through a pink array of colors while present. In Meteos Online, it had a new design, with a soul-like shape inside a purple-white block, as pictured here:

Tips and TriviaEdit

RareMetalMissing
  • If one needs to find a Rare Meteo in the original DS game, doing the Straight Route of Star Trip to get to the Metamo Ark stage quickly may be viable. The Metamo Ark appears to attract Rare Meteos much more often than any other stage in the game, although this is not confirmed. Keep in mind one has a limited amount of time and much more space to deal with in this stage.
  • In Meteos (DS), if a Rare Metal is not known yet, but the player has the resources to fuse it, a special name and sprite are used in the Fusion Room.
